El Paso Orthopedic Surgery Group's medical buildings
El Paso Specialty Hospital building and two medical office buildings for $46.2 million from El Paso Orthopaedic Surgery Group , the company announced this month.
The trust on Oct. 1 completed the acquisition and lease back of the orthopaedic surgical hospital building at 1755 Curie in Central El Paso , and clinic buildings at 3100 Lee Treviño on the East Side and 9999 Kenworthy in Northeast.
The trust is leasing the facilities, with 178,700 square feet of space, to the orthopaedic group, which continues to operate at the locations.
It paid $33 million in cash to the medical group, and also gave the group 950,324 common units, valued at $13.2 million , in the trust. This is the trust's latest acquisition in El Paso , which is a market it likes, said John Sweet , chief investment officer.
